BJP to Make Hat-Trick by Winning All Five State Elections: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will achieve a hat-trick by winning all five state assembly elections on May 4. Addressing a massive rally in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, Modi asserted that the people have already decided to bring the BJP back to power in all states going to polls.

Modi's Address in Hardoi

Speaking at the rally, PM Modi said, "The results on May 4 will be a hat-trick for the BJP. We will win all five states. The people have made up their minds to bless the BJP once again." He highlighted the development and welfare schemes undertaken by the BJP-led central and state governments, claiming that these have transformed the lives of citizens.

Modi also attacked the opposition, accusing them of spreading lies and dividing society. He urged voters to reject negative politics and choose the BJP for stability and progress. "The opposition has no vision, no agenda. They only know how to spread falsehoods. The people are wise and will vote for development," he added.

Five States Going to Polls

The five states where elections are being held are Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur. Voting in these states is taking place in multiple phases, with the final phase scheduled for May 4. Counting of votes and results will also be announced on the same day.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is seeking a second consecutive term, while in Punjab, the party is hoping to unseat the Congress government. In Goa and Uttarakhand, the BJP is aiming to retain power, and in Manipur, it is in a tough fight against the Congress and regional parties.

Opposition's Response

Opposition parties, including the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Aam Aadmi Party, have dismissed Modi's claims as overconfidence. They argue that the elections are not a foregone conclusion and that the BJP will face a tough challenge due to anti-incumbency and local issues.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, "The BJP is running away from real issues like unemployment, inflation, and farmers' distress. The people will teach them a lesson on May 4."

Campaign Trail

PM Modi has been aggressively campaigning across the five states, addressing multiple rallies every day. He has focused on the BJP's achievements in the last four years, including the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

The BJP has also relied on Modi's personal popularity to counter anti-incumbency and local discontent. Party workers are confident that Modi's charisma will help the party secure a hat-trick in the state elections.

As the election campaign enters its final phase, all eyes are on May 4, which will decide the political fate of the five states and set the tone for the 2029 general elections.
