BJP Leaders Perform Pujas Across Odisha to Celebrate Modi's Record

Bhubaneswar: The BJP functionaries organised special pujas at temples in different parts of the state on Wednesday to celebrate PM Narendra Modi’s achievement of becoming the longest-serving elected prime minister of India. The two deputy chief ministers of the state, K V Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, separately offered prayers at Thyagraj Jagannath temple in Delhi’s Kotla, while Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Lord’s shrine in Hauz Khas. Meanwhile, Union law minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Puri MP Sambit Patra visited the Jagannath temple in Puri and took part in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan drive on the Puri beach.

CM Majhi Congratulates Modi

CM Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated Modi on the milestone, calling it a testament to the people’s enduring trust in his leadership. In a social media post, Majhi said the achievement reflected Modi’s "unwavering resolve to serve" and his “bold and transformative vision”. Under Modi’s stewardship, India has grown stronger, more confident and increasingly influential globally, while remaining focused on the welfare and aspirations of its people, he added.

Pradhan Offers Prayers

After offering prayers at the Jagannath Mandir in Hauz Khas, Pradhan said he joined devotees in performing puja and maha aarti, seeking divine blessings for the prime minister. “Prayers were offered for Modi’s long life, good health and continued service to the nation. Karyakartas across Odisha expressed gratitude and faith in the PM’s leadership through similar rituals,” he said.

Deputy CMs and MP Participate

Parida said they prayed for Modi’s well-being and longevity. Patra said they prayed to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath that India continues to set new milestones in development, prosperity, good governance and national pride, and further strengthen its standing on the global stage under PM Modi’s leadership.

The BJP workers held pujas at temples in Patnagarh of Balangir district and Nimapada of Puri district, among other places. The celebrations also included a cleanliness drive on the Puri beach, emphasizing the party's commitment to both spiritual and social causes.
