Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday reiterated the state government's dedication to infrastructure development, as reported by Joken Ete. Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed Arunachal Niwas at Dheerpur in New Delhi, Khandu stated that a comprehensive review of newly created districts—including Pakke-Kessang, Kamle, Leparada, Shi-Yomi, and others—has been scheduled. The review aims to evaluate infrastructure gaps and manpower requirements.
He further noted that similar reviews would be conducted for older districts to ensure balanced and inclusive development across the state. Khandu also acknowledged the continued support of the Prime Minister and the central government in strengthening infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh. He highlighted that under the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission, the state has received approximately Rs 4,900 crore, which will be utilized to bridge critical infrastructure gaps and accelerate development initiatives.
This announcement comes as part of the state's broader strategy to enhance connectivity and public amenities, particularly in remote and newly formed districts. The Arunachal Niwas project itself is a key infrastructure milestone, providing better accommodation for state officials visiting the national capital.
