Komal Singh, a native of Gwalior, was serving as a security guard with the Defence Security Corps at the Babina Cantonment. While deployed at his point duty on Monday afternoon, a sudden gunshot was heard by people in the vicinity. Upon rushing to the location, they discovered the jawan lying in a pool of blood, a shocking sight that prompted immediate alarm.

Police and Army officials, along with family members, quickly arrived at the spot. Preliminary investigations revealed that Komal Singh had placed the nozzle of his rifle beneath his chin and fired the fatal shot. The bullet passed through his brain, causing instant death.

SHO Vinay Sahu of the Babina police station stated, "The body has been sent for postmortem examination, and we are awaiting the reports.
