Amit Shah: BJP-AIADMK Alliance is Winning Coalition for Tamil Nadu

Amit Shah Campaigns in Erode, Declares BJP-AIADMK Alliance as Winning Coalition

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a campaign event in Erode on Sunday, emphatically stated that the BJP-AIADMK alliance under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constitutes a "winning coalition" poised to bring stability and comprehensive development to Tamil Nadu. Shah was actively canvassing for BJP candidate Kirthika Shivakumar in the Modakkurichi constituency, where he delivered a robust political address.

Shah Launches Scathing Attack on DMK and Congress

In his speech, Shah launched a direct and severe critique against the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He accused the party of being deeply entrenched in corruption and practicing dynastic politics. Shah charged that Chief Minister M K Stalin's primary objective was not public welfare but the elevation of his son to a top political position, thereby perpetuating family rule in the state.

Shah further targeted the opposition by referencing historical legislative moves. He highlighted that the DMK and the Congress party had previously defeated the women's reservation bill, an initiative designed to ensure greater representation for women in Parliament. Shah framed this as a deliberate attempt to suppress women's political empowerment.

Criticism on Delimitation and Promises for Tamil Nadu

The Union Minister also criticized opposition parties for their attempts to thwart the delimitation process. Shah claimed these actions were driven by fear that Tamil Nadu's parliamentary representation would increase, alongside a significant rise in women's political participation, outcomes he suggested would undermine their traditional vote banks.

Promising a transformative new era under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Shah assured that an NDA government would work diligently to restore Tamil Nadu's pride, significantly improve law and order conditions, and implement stringent measures to eliminate corruption from the state's administration.

Appeal to Voters and Campaign Trail Details

"Voters must decisively reject this 'family rule' and extend their support to the BJP candidate in Modakkurichi," Shah urged the gathering. He asserted that only the NDA could deliver a government genuinely committed to safeguarding women's rights and ensuring lasting prosperity for Tamil Nadu. His appeal was specifically aimed at securing votes for Kirthika Shivakumar.

Earlier in the day, Shah arrived at Sivagiri by helicopter from Coimbatore. He was accorded a traditional 'poorna kumbam' welcome by enthusiastic party cadres. Following the reception, Shah embarked on a vibrant roadshow that culminated near the statue of freedom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai in the town.

Traveling in an open vehicle, Shah waved to thousands of supporters who lined the streets on both sides, many holding saffron flags. Throughout the event, he consistently appealed to the electorate to deliver a decisive and strong mandate for BJP candidate Kirthika Shivakumar in the upcoming elections.
