A magistrate court in Chennai sent Trichy Surya Siva, arrested for making derogatory remarks against a BJP functionary and her child, to one day of police custody on Friday. The cybercrime wing registered a case after receiving a complaint that derogatory comments were made against the woman and her child during a YouTube interview. Another YouTuber, Mukthar, has also been arrested in connection with the same case.
Police Custody Granted
The cybercrime police moved the XI Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet, requesting police custody of Trichy Surya Siva for questioning. After hearing the petition, the magistrate granted his custody for one day. Following the order, police brought Trichy Surya Siva to the cybercrime unit of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) for interrogation. He will be produced before the court on Saturday.
