Youth Fatally Stabbed in Ahmedabad Following Minor Altercation
In a tragic incident in Ahmedabad, a 19-year-old youth lost his life after being stabbed multiple times in Behrampura on Saturday night. The attack stemmed from a seemingly trivial dispute near his residence, highlighting concerns over public safety in the area.
Details of the Fatal Attack
The victim, identified as Himesh Parmar, was assaulted around 9:30 PM near Hiralaxmi Flats, close to Parmar Dawakhana and Anand Vidhyalaya. He sustained severe stab wounds to his chest, right hand, and the right side of his abdomen. Despite being rushed to LG Hospital in Maninagar, doctors declared him dead during treatment at approximately 10:25 PM on Saturday.
Police Investigation and Arrests
The case was promptly handed over to the city crime branch, which launched an intensive investigation. Utilizing technical surveillance and local intelligence, authorities detained two individuals within hours of the crime. The accused include a 17-year-old juvenile and 19-year-old Gautam Solanki. According to police reports, the juvenile had recently traveled to Chotila in Surendranagar district, where he procured the knife used in the assault.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Murder
Based on the complaint filed by the victim's uncle, Shailesh Parmar, a resident of Garibnagar in Behrampura, the incident unfolded rapidly. Shailesh received a phone call around 9:45 PM from a friend informing him that Himesh had been attacked by an unidentified person. While en route to the location, he was notified that Himesh had been taken to a hospital. Police confirmed that the attack occurred in a public area, with the assailant fleeing after inflicting the wounds.
Investigations revealed that the dispute arose when Himesh objected to the accused loitering and causing a disturbance near his house. This minor confrontation escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the fatal stabbing. An offence of murder has been registered with the Kagdapith police station.

Crime branch officials are actively working to recover the weapon used in the attack and verify further details related to the sequence of events.
