In a significant action against narcotics, the Kotwali police in Jhunjhunu district successfully apprehended a young man in possession of the banned substance MDMA in Sikar on Tuesday. The operation, based on specific intelligence, led to the immediate arrest and seizure of the contraband along with the vehicle used by the accused.
Tip-Off Leads to Swift Police Action
Acting promptly on a confidential tip-off regarding drug peddling, a police team from Kotwali police station swung into action. Sub-Inspector Lalit Yadav was instrumental in intercepting the suspect. The accused, identified as Shakti Singh, aged 22 and a resident of Khori Dungar, was stopped while he was riding a motorcycle.
Recovery of Drugs and Vehicle
Upon conducting a thorough search of the individual and his vehicle, the police team recovered a quantity of MDMA drug from his possession. MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy or Molly, is a potent psychoactive substance illegal under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Following the protocol for such seizures, the police have also confiscated his motorcycle as part of the evidence and ongoing investigation.
