The young woman was walking towards a bus stop around 9 am to travel to Sarkaghat for her college classes when Vikas intercepted her. Witnesses described a frenzied assault where he began hacking at her with a weapon. Despite her attempts to defend herself, she was slashed repeatedly on her hands.
