The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has rejected the candidature of 82 applicants for the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Main Examination 2025 after a thorough scrutiny of their application forms and supporting documents. The commission stated that the applications were invalidated due to failure to adhere to the conditions outlined in the advertisement and examination guidelines.
Reasons for Rejection
According to an official notification from the commission, the majority of rejections—58 candidates—occurred because they did not submit the main examination application form to the commission office by the prescribed deadline of May 29 or failed to attach the required documents with their applications. In five instances, candidates submitted only the supporting documents but omitted the main application form.
Two candidates had their candidature canceled due to discrepancies between the date of birth recorded in their online applications and that in their High School certificates. The commission also rejected the applications of 13 candidates who claimed reservation under the Dependents of Freedom Fighters (DFF) category but did not provide the requisite certificates to support their claim.
Additional Disqualifications
One candidate was disqualified for failing to produce a valid disability certificate. Two candidates were found ineligible after seeking disability reservation benefits despite not being domiciles of Uttar Pradesh. Another candidature was canceled due to an incorrect claim regarding the disability sub-category.
Controller of Examinations Harsh Dev Pandey confirmed that the candidatures were rejected for non-compliance with prescribed conditions and special instructions. However, the commission has provided an opportunity for affected candidates to appeal the decision.
Appeal Process
Candidates whose applications have been rejected may submit their representations to the Secretary of UPPSC via registered post or in person by 5 PM on June 17. The APO 2025 main examination is scheduled to be held in Lucknow from June 28 to June 30, conducted in two sessions.
