A devastating road accident on the Kotalpokhar main road in Sahibganj district resulted in the deaths of two individuals on Thursday. The victims include a 15-year-old boy and a 60-year-old man, who lost their lives in a severe collision near the Jiwanpur checkpoint under the jurisdiction of Sahibganj police station.

According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased minor, identified as Izazur, was operating an e-rickshaw at the time of the accident. He was returning from Chandaur when a speeding three-wheeler, heavily loaded with timber, collided with his vehicle. The impact of the crash was so intense that the e-rickshaw was completely mangled, leading to immediate fatalities.
Izazur, the young driver, and an elderly passenger named Potla Pahadia, aged 60, died on the spot due to the severe injuries sustained in the collision. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting concerns about road safety in the area.

Officer in-charge of Kotalpokhar police station, Chandan Kumar Bhaiya, confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged in connection with the accident.
