The victims have been identified as Iqbal Hussain (35) and Akbar (25). Both were residents of Gaffar tola in Dudhauti panchayat. The fatal event took place on NH-327E near Gambhirgarh Chowk, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Sukhani police station in Kishanganj district.

According to preliminary information, the duo was traveling on a motorcycle on the four-lane highway when an unidentified vehicle struck them from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that it resulted in immediate, tragic consequences.

Immediate Aftermath and Police Response

One rider was killed on the spot due to the force of the crash. The other victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries while en route, marking a second fatality from the same incident.

Police officials from Sukhani police station reached the location promptly after receiving information about the crash. They took custody of the scene and seized the damaged motorcycle for further investigation. The bodies of both deceased were sent to Sadar Hospital in Kishanganj for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Sukhani police station in-charge Manu Kumari confirmed that a formal case has been registered against the driver of the unknown vehicle, who fled the scene after the accident. The investigation is currently underway to trace the offending vehicle and apprehend the responsible driver.
