Gurgaon Police Nab Duo for Alleged Kidnapping and Brutal Assault of Delivery Partner
In a shocking incident that unfolded in Gurgaon, two men were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a delivery partner following a financial dispute involving a substantial sum of Rs 6.5 lakh. The suspects, identified as Jaybir (26) and Aman (21), have confessed to police that their actions constituted a planned attempt to recover money they claimed was owed to them.
Details of the Alleged Crime and Arrest
The assault occurred near the Southern Peripheral Road area, where authorities reported that an emergency response vehicle team swiftly intervened. This timely arrival foiled the kidnapping bid and led to the arrest of both individuals, who are residents of Bhiwani. According to police reports, a group of attackers, including Jaybir and Aman, subjected the victim to a violent ordeal.
The attackers assaulted the delivery partner with kicks, punches, and wooden sticks before forcibly placing him into their vehicle. While threatening to kill him, they began to drive away, escalating the situation further. Disturbingly, the entire assault was recorded on a mobile phone camera, capturing footage where the victim was seen screaming and pleading in a desperate attempt to escape.
Background and Motive Behind the Incident
ASI Sandeep Kumar provided insights into the motive, stating, Jaybir told police that in 2024, he sold a truck and kept the said amount from the sale inside his car. He alleged that the victim stole the cash and didn't return it over the past two years. Jaybir, who runs a transport business in Hisar, claimed the victim was a former friend, adding a personal dimension to the conflict.
Aman, employed as a salesman in a Gurgaon-based firm, collaborated with Jaybir in what police describe as an attempt to intimidate the victim into repaying the amount. This case highlights the severe consequences of financial disputes turning violent, with the suspects resorting to criminal means to settle their grievances.
