According to DCP South, Nipun Agarwal, the victim is a Class IX student at a private school and hails from Bijnor, with both her parents employed in government service. The accused, a native of Banda, was tutoring the girl at her residence. The first incident reportedly occurred on January 22, when the girl's parents were at work and her grandmother was outside the house.
"The accused allegedly raped the minor and threatened to ruin her life when she resisted," stated DCP Agarwal. This pattern of abuse continued until February 12, when the tutor discovered the girl was pregnant. In a further act of cruelty, he administered medication to induce an abortion, leading to a deterioration in her health.
Police Action and Legal Framework
The victim eventually confided in her mother, prompting her father to file a formal complaint on February 21. An FIR has been registered under multiple stringent laws, including:
- Sections 74, 65(1), 89, and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)
- Sections 5/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
- Sections 3(1)(d), 3(1)(dh), and 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act
