Transgender Woman Brutally Murdered in Punjab Village
A 37-year-old transgender woman was discovered dead with severe injuries to her neck and head, inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon, in a village in Punjab's Muktsar district. The victim has been identified as Sarabjit Kaur, who was residing alone in Kotbhai village, located within the Gidderbaha sub-division.

Gidderbaha DSP Arun Mundan provided details to the media, stating that police received information about a body being found in a house at Kotbhai village. "When we reached the location, we discovered Sarabjit Kaur lying on a cot with two injuries to her neck and head that appeared to have been caused by a sharp-edged weapon," he explained.
The police have officially registered a murder case against unidentified persons and are actively pursuing further investigations. "As of now, no exact reason behind the killing has come to the fore," DSP Mundan added, highlighting the ongoing nature of the probe.
