Ranchi SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar confirmed the arrests on Friday, identifying the accused as Deo Singh Munda, Gautam Yadav, and Bholu. The police operation led to their capture from Jonha village. During the apprehension, officers confiscated a substantial cache of evidence, including a country-made revolver, a pistol, nineteen cartridges, and four mobile phones.

The confrontation occurred around 9:30 PM on March 3. According to police reports, the three men arrived at the Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) shop and brazenly demanded free alcohol. When the store staff rightfully refused their unlawful request, the situation escalated rapidly. The accused responded by brandishing a firearm and discharging it within the premises.
Fortunately, the employees demonstrated quick thinking by taking cover behind the counter, thereby avoiding physical injury. This act of self-preservation likely prevented a more tragic outcome.
