Tragic Road Accident in Bijnor Claims Three Lives, Including Father-Daughter Duo

A devastating road accident in Najibabad, Bijnor resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a 50-year-old man and his 25-year-old daughter, on Sunday evening. The fatal collision occurred when a speeding car rammed into a stalled e-rickshaw on Raipur Sadar Road, with the impact being so severe that all three victims died instantly at the scene, according to police reports.

Sequence of Events Leading to the Fatal Collision

The incident began when e-rickshaw driver Dharam Singh, a 24-year-old resident of Kotkadar village, was returning home. His vehicle developed a mechanical fault, prompting passenger Rajkumar, aged 30, to get down and assist in pushing the stalled e-rickshaw. As they reached near the Bharat Gas Agency, a car approaching from the opposite direction allegedly struck the e-rickshaw with tremendous force.

Simultaneously, a moped carrying Raju and his daughter Anshu, who were approaching from behind, became entangled in the collision. The violent impact proved fatal for Rajkumar, Raju, and Anshu, all of whom succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

Injuries and Emergency Response

E-rickshaw driver Dharam Singh sustained serious injuries in the accident and was initially taken to the Community Health Centre in Sameepur. Due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently referred to a higher medical facility for specialized treatment. Another passenger traveling in the e-rickshaw also suffered injuries in the tragic incident.

Circle Officer Nitesh Pratap Singh promptly reached the hospital after receiving information about the accident. The driver of the car involved in the collision is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital, adding another dimension to this complex traffic tragedy.

Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. "The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination, and legal proceedings are underway," stated Circle Officer Nitesh Pratap Singh.
