Gurgaon: Three Arrested After Vehicles Torched, House Damaged in Midnight Attack
Three Arrested in Gurgaon Vehicle Arson Case

Police in Gurgaon have made significant headway in a case of deliberate arson that destroyed two vehicles and damaged a residential property earlier this week. Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident, which was driven by a long-standing personal feud.

The Midnight Incident Caught on Camera

The alarming event unfolded in the early hours of Monday, around 2 am. According to the police report, the target was the residence of Raman Yadav. A Mahindra Thar and a Maruti WagonR, both parked outside his house, were deliberately set ablaze.

The fire rapidly consumed both vehicles. Its intensity was such that it spread to the front portion of Yadav's house, causing substantial damage and sending waves of panic through the local neighbourhood.

CCTV Footage Provides Crucial Evidence

Investigators relied heavily on surveillance footage from the house, which provided a clear record of the crime. The CCTV captured the entire sequence of events over a span of 16 minutes.

The video evidence showed a masked individual approaching the Mahindra Thar. The person could be seen sprinkling an inflammable liquid on the vehicle before igniting it, which led to the fire quickly engulfing both cars.

Arrests Made, Motive Revealed

Following a swift investigation based on the CCTV evidence and other leads, the Gurgaon police apprehended three suspects. During interrogation, the police established that the primary motive behind the attack was an old enmity between the accused and the victim, Raman Yadav.

The arrests came just days after the Tuesday incident, marking a rapid response by the law enforcement agency. The police have not yet disclosed the identities of the arrested individuals but confirmed they are pursuing all angles related to the longstanding dispute.

This case highlights the severe consequences of personal vendettas escalating into criminal acts, resulting in significant property loss and endangering community safety.
