A horrific incident of violence has shaken the Sultanpuri area of Outer Delhi, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy and an attack on his mother. Police have arrested one man in connection with the late-night crime that occurred on Thursday.
The Tragic Night in Sultanpuri
According to officials from the Sultan Puri police station, they received a distress call around 11:30 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2026. The call reported that a group of individuals had stabbed a minor. A police team rushed to the scene and found the teenage victim lying on the ground, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The injured boy was immediately taken to SGM Hospital for urgent medical attention. Tragically, the doctors at the hospital declared him dead upon arrival. His mother, who also sustained injuries in the attack, was provided medical care.
Mother's Harrowing Account and Arrest Made
Speaking to reporters, the grieving mother recounted the terrifying sequence of events. She stated that her son had stepped out to run an errand when she heard a commotion outside their home. "I started shouting at them to leave my boy alone when he started stabbing my son with a knife," she said. "When I tried to intervene, he stabbed me too. I ran for cover in a nearby shop but my son couldn't escape."
Police have identified and arrested the primary accused as Vikram, aged 30. Investigators revealed that Vikram has a criminal history and has been previously booked in six other cases. The arrest was made on Friday, a day after the brutal attack.

During preliminary questioning, police sources indicated that the teenage victim had allegedly developed a strong aversion towards Vikram.
