18-Year-Old Stabbed to Death in Delhi Park by Girl's Brother and Associates
Police in Northwest Delhi have apprehended five minors after an 18-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a Rohini park on Thursday afternoon. The victim died from multiple stab wounds in what authorities describe as a premeditated attack.
Broad Daylight Attack in Public Park
The incident occurred around 3 pm at a public park in Rohini. According to police reports, the Prashant Vihar police station received an emergency call about a stabbing incident. Officers immediately rushed to the location.
"A police team immediately reached the spot," said an officer involved in the response. "We found the victim lying on the ground with severe injuries. He was bleeding profusely and had lost consciousness."
Friends who were with the victim informed police that several boys had attacked him with a knife before fleeing the scene. Emergency medical services transported the injured teenager to BSA Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Relationship Dispute Turns Deadly
Investigators quickly uncovered a disturbing motive behind the attack. The victim had been in a relationship with a local girl, and her 17-year-old brother strongly opposed this relationship.
Additional DCP Sandeep Gupta explained the suspect's method of operation. "The minor allegedly used a friend's social media account under a fake name to maintain contact with the victim," Gupta stated. "He lured the teenager to the park by pretending to arrange a meeting."
On Thursday afternoon, the girl's brother arrived at the park with several associates. They confronted the 18-year-old and attacked him with a knife, causing fatal injuries.
Police Investigation and Evidence Recovery
Delhi Police have taken all five minors into custody following the incident. The investigation has yielded significant physical evidence from the crime scene.
Police recovered the murder weapon along with several personal items belonging to the victim. These included his mobile phone, wrist watch, and a metallic kada. Forensic teams are examining these items as part of the ongoing investigation.
DCP Gupta provided additional details about the attack. "On the day of the incident, he allegedly arrived at the park along with his associates and attacked the victim with a knife, resulting in his death," the officer confirmed.
Growing Concerns About Juvenile Crime
This brutal daylight murder has raised serious questions about juvenile crime in the capital city. The calculated nature of the attack, involving social media deception and coordinated violence, has alarmed both authorities and local residents.
Police continue to investigate whether additional individuals were involved in planning or executing the attack. They are also examining the social media accounts used to communicate with the victim in the days leading up to his death.
The case highlights the dangerous consequences of relationship disputes among teenagers and the increasing use of digital platforms to facilitate crimes. Community leaders in Rohini have called for greater vigilance in public parks and increased police patrols in residential areas.
