Kerala Police Nab Suspect in Terrifying Sword-Wielding House Robbery
In a swift police action, a 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly barging into a residence armed with a sword and stealing valuables in Kadinamkulam, Thiruvananthapuram. The accused, identified as Jobin George from Menamkulam, was apprehended by Kadinamkulam police near the Chackai ITI area, following a detailed investigation into the armed robbery incident.
Details of the Armed Break-In and Robbery
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 8 PM on Saturday night when the assailant forcefully entered the house, wielding a sword and threatening a youth from the family. The family members were reportedly terrified as the accused brandished the weapon and demanded valuables. The intruder is believed to have looted cash and other items before fleeing the scene, leaving the victims in a state of shock.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police managed to trace and apprehend Jobin George within a short span of time. Police sources revealed that the accused has a criminal background and is suspected of being involved in similar offences in the area.
