SRP Jawan Found Dead in Apparent Suicide at Gandhinagar Secretariat
A State Reserve Police (SRP) jawan on duty at the New State Secretariat in Gandhinagar was found dead in an apparent suicide early Tuesday morning. The incident has prompted a thorough police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendrasinh Gohil, 49, who was attached with SRP Group-9 in Vadodara and originally hailed from Bhavnagar district. According to police reports, Gohil took over his shift around midnight on Monday. In the morning, a fellow jawan noticed his absence from Gate No. 3, where he was posted, and initiated a search.
The search led to the discovery of Gohil's body hanging from a tree just behind the gate. He was found using a plastic rope. Inspector A G Solanki from Sector 7 police confirmed that a team promptly reached the spot, brought the body down, and sent it to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Police have registered a case of accidental death and are actively investigating the matter. Inspector Solanki stated, "We have registered a case of accidental death." The suicide is believed to have occurred late on Monday night, but the exact timing is being verified through CCTV footage analysis from the high-security government complex.
