The victim, Ilavarasan, aged 36 and originally from Oddanchatram, left his home with his family on January 11. They traveled to his hometown to celebrate the Pongal festival. On January 12, a relative contacted Ilavarasan with alarming news. The relative noticed that the lock on Ilavarasan's house was broken.
Ilavarasan immediately realized his house had been burgled. Upon investigation, he discovered missing items worth a fortune. Thieves took 13.2 lakh in cash, 25 sovereigns of gold jewellery, and various silver articles from his property.
Police Investigation and Arrests
