Sirsa Police Register Criminal Case Against Three for Humiliating Disabled Man

The Sirsa Police have taken swift action. They registered a criminal case against three persons. The accused allegedly humiliated, exploited, and defamed a person with a disability. Police say the men forced the victim to consume cow dung.

Details of the Alleged Crime in Rania

According to official information, the case was filed at Police Station Rania. It stemmed from a complaint by Kuldeep, a resident of Rania. The police invoked Section 115 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for voluntarily causing hurt. They also applied Section 92-A of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

The accused individuals are Mukhtiyar Singh, Ranjeet Singh, and Jaswinder Singh. All three men hail from Rania. Sources indicate the complainant suffers from polio.

How the Incident Unfolded

The complainant provided a detailed account to the police. He stated that on January 7, the accused called him to a house. This house is located opposite the residence of Harbhajan Singh in Rania. The men allegedly lured him there under the pretext of offering him liquor.

The situation turned horrific after they intoxicated him. The accused then offered him a sum of one thousand rupees. They forcibly fed him cow dung. After this act, they made him consume alcohol again.

Critically, the entire incident was recorded on video by the accused. They later circulated this video on social media platforms. The apparent intention was to humiliate and defame the disabled man.

The Viral Video and Police Complaint

The complainant learned about the video on January 11. His relatives informed him after seeing it go viral on social media. Fearing severe damage to his reputation, he immediately approached the police. He lodged a formal complaint, leading to the registration of the case.

Descriptions of the viral video are disturbing. It reportedly shows four to five persons seated in a cattle shed. One individual brings cow dung on a shovel. He holds currency notes in his other hand.

In the video, this person calls out the complainant by name. He offers one thousand rupees in exchange for consuming the cow dung. The video shows the complainant tasting the dung and demanding the money. The accused then insist he consume it again before they will pay him. The recording concludes with the accused counting and handing over the money.

Police officials have confirmed the matter is now under active investigation. They are gathering evidence and pursuing the case.

Not the First Cow Dung Video from Haryana

This shocking case is not an isolated incident in Haryana. A similar video went viral from Karnal in an earlier instance. In that video, a doctor was seen consuming cow dung. He explained its purported medicinal benefits during the recording.

However, there is a crucial difference. The Karnal case involved no allegations of coercion or force. The Sirsa case centers on deliberate humiliation and exploitation of a vulnerable individual.
