New Delhi: A 51-year-old scrap dealer was shot in New Delhi's Tughlaq Road area on Thursday evening. The victim has been identified as Baba Rafiq.
According to police, a PCR call reporting the shooting was received on Thursday evening. A senior police officer clarified that the incident did not take place inside a park, as initially speculated. Rafiq was standing near a traffic signal in the area when he was shot. He sustained a bullet injury to the back of his head and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Police teams reached the spot shortly after receiving the information and launched an investigation. Cops are working to identify and trace those responsible for the shooting.
