Young Electrician Brutally Murdered in Broad Daylight
A shocking incident of violence unfolded in the heart of Sangli on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the tragic death of a 22-year-old man. The victim, identified as Vishnu Vadar, an electrician and resident of Sangli city, was allegedly hacked to death by two assailants using a knife and physical force. Sequence of a Fatal Attack
The horrifying event occurred around 2 pm on Thursday. According to initial reports, Vishnu Vadar was walking with a group of his friends when the two accused, Aryan Patil and Aditya Walkar, both hailing from Kupwad, suddenly approached him. Without provocation, they launched a vicious assault, repeatedly stabbing Vadar with a knife.
Vadar's friends present at the scene tried desperately to intervene and stop the attackers. However, their efforts were in vain. Even after Vadar collapsed onto the ground, critically injured and bleeding profusely, the assailants continued their brutality, kicking him with their feet. Only when the young electrician lay completely motionless did Patil and Walkar flee from the scene.
Rush to Hospital and Tragic Outcome
In a desperate bid to save his life, Vadar's friends immediately rushed him to the Sangli Civil Hospital. Medical teams worked on him for several hours, battling the severe injuries he had sustained. Despite their best efforts, the youth could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries a couple of hours after admission.
Investigations by the Sangli police have revealed a history of conflict between the victim and the accused. It has come to light that Vadar and the two attackers were involved in a physical altercation a few months prior to this fatal incident. Following that earlier fight, a case of physical assault had been registered against Vishnu Vadar at the Vishrambaug police station in Sangli.
Police Swiftly Apprehend the Accused
After committing the crime, the accused, Aryan Patil and Aditya Walkar, reportedly fled to Kupwad and went into hiding. Acting swiftly on the information and evidence available, Sangli police launched a manhunt. Their efforts proved successful as the police team managed to locate and arrest both individuals. They are now in custody and further legal proceedings are underway.
