The teenager, identified as Himanshu Raj, had arrived in Ranchi from Bihar's Darbhanga to appear for an engineering entrance examination, sparking concerns when he went missing shortly after his arrival.

According to police reports, Himanshu Raj had informed his mother that he reached the Ranchi bus stand around 7:30 am on Wednesday. However, after this communication, he became traceless, prompting immediate action from authorities. Upon receiving the information, multiple police teams were mobilized to scan CCTV footage from roads in and around the bus stand to track his movements.
The search operation intensified throughout the day, with officers meticulously reviewing surveillance videos and conducting physical checks. The boy was eventually located at a hotel around 9:45 pm, bringing relief to his family and the investigating teams.

Luv Kumar Singh, the in-charge of Lower Bazaar police station, provided insights into the case. "He had booked the hotel for two days and switched off his phone," Singh stated. "We found him after searching nearly 40 hotels in the area, demonstrating our commitment to ensuring public safety and resolving such incidents promptly."
