A tragic road accident in Rajkot has claimed the life of a 65-year-old man, who succumbed to injuries sustained after being struck by a city bus. The victim, identified as Bharat Ambasana, passed away at Rajkot Civil Hospital on Sunday, days after the collision.

The unfortunate event occurred on November 28 near the Solvent railway crossing in Rajkot. According to the complaint filed by his son, Bharat Ambasana was returning home from his workplace when the city bus hit him. He worked at a garage specializing in truck body parts.
His son, 29-year-old Sanjay Ambasana, learned about the accident through a distressing phone call. An unidentified person used Bharat's mobile phone to inform Sanjay that his father had been critically injured in a vehicle collision. Sanjay subsequently rushed to the scene and his father was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police Case and Allegations of Negligence
Following Bharat Ambasana's death, Sanjay approached the Aji Dam police station and filed a formal complaint. In his statement, he has accused the bus driver of negligent driving, which he believes directly caused the accident that led to his father's fatal injuries.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, the police have registered a case. The charges have been framed under BNS sections 106(1) and 281, alongside relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. An investigation is now underway to determine the exact circumstances and fix liability for the incident.
