Rajasthan Lecturer Arrested for Fake Degree in RPSC Exam

Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police arrested a school lecturer for allegedly securing a government job through forged educational qualifications in the RPSC Agriculture Lecturer (School Education) Exam 2022, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Details of the Accused

The accused has been identified as Ashok Kumar Yadav, 33, a resident of Chomu in Jaipur district. He was currently posted as a lecturer in Agriculture at a government school in Sikar district.

Modus Operandi

According to Additional Director General (SOG) Vishal Bansal, the case involves selected candidates who, in collusion with officials of OPJS University in Churu, obtained backdated fake mark sheets of required qualifications, including BEd and MSc Agriculture (Agronomy), to secure appointments.

A case was registered at the SOG police station on March 5 under sections related to cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy. During the investigation, police found that Yadav applied for the recruitment despite not possessing the required qualifications and allegedly falsified his credentials in the application.

He is accused of submitting backdated fake mark sheets of BEd (2020-22) and MSc Agriculture (Agronomy) (2018-20), obtained in collusion with university officials, at the time of appointment.

Arrest and Remand

Police arrested Yadav on April 29 and produced him before a court on Wednesday, which remanded him to five days of police custody. Further investigation is underway to identify other beneficiaries and those involved in facilitating the forged documents.
