The deceased has been identified as Vishal, a 22-year-old resident of Zaheerabad Layout. According to Superintendent of Police Arunangshu Giri, Vishal was invited by Basavaraj to attend a birthday party. Another youth, Yesu alias Raju, aged 19, was also present at the gathering, setting the stage for the deadly confrontation.
The trio reportedly consumed alcohol and partied until around 1 am, enjoying what should have been a celebratory occasion. However, later in the night, a quarrel broke out over a trivial issue, which quickly escalated into a violent clash. In the ensuing melee, Vishal was allegedly stabbed to death by two persons using a knife, turning the festive atmosphere into a scene of horror.

Police officials stated that while the suspects were attempting to flee after committing the murder, they were apprehended by DSP Shantaveer. A case has been registered at the Sadar Bazaar police station, and further investigation is currently underway to uncover all aspects of this heinous crime.
