The incident occurred on FC Road around 5:30 am, when the accused drove his motorcycle recklessly, posing a threat to morning walkers and other individuals on the road.

Confrontation with passersby

Passersby stopped the rider and requested him to refrain from driving rashly. However, instead of heeding their advice, he allegedly abused them. The bystanders then alerted the police control room.

Police intervention

Police constable Shobha Desai, who was on night duty, arrived at the scene and instructed the rider to accompany her to the police station. The accused refused to cooperate and instead pulled out his mobile phone to record her, claiming to be a media person. He threatened to upload the video on social media to defame her, and also abused and threatened her.
