The accident took place on the busy Kiratpur-Manali highway, specifically near the Baloh toll plaza. According to police reports, Lalita Sharma, aged 33, and her husband Amit Kumar, 36, were returning home when their car suffered a rear-end collision with a truck.
The impact of the crash was severe, causing the truck to overturn after hitting the car. Lalita Sharma, a resident of Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district, succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital. Her husband Amit Kumar sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

Local residents who witnessed the accident sprang into action immediately. They alerted emergency services and rushed the injured to the nearby All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur.
