According to police reports, Mallika, wife of Karnan from the Otta Methai area, had pledged her gold chain with a bank several months ago to secure funds for an emergency. On Tuesday morning, she repaid the loan and retrieved the chain. Concerned about safety, Mallika placed the chain in an envelope and stored it in her handbag for secure transport home.
Upon reaching her residence, Mallika discovered the envelope was missing from her bag. Fearing it had fallen out during her journey, she retraced her steps back to the bank but could not locate the valuable item. Distressed, she immediately filed a formal complaint with the Pallipalayam police station, seeking assistance in the recovery effort.
Police Use CCTV Footage to Trace Lost Item
