Khargone Superintendent of Police Ravindra Verma confirmed that the case was officially registered on Wednesday afternoon based on a detailed complaint filed by Satyendra Rathore. While verifying that a firing incident indeed occurred at the Rathore family home, SP Verma emphasized that the matter remains under active investigation. As a precautionary measure, police forces have been strategically deployed and stationed at Rathore's residence to ensure the family's safety.
In a revealing statement, SP Verma disclosed that a similar threatening message was recently reported in Ashok Nagar, suggesting a potential pattern or coordinated campaign of intimidation. This connection has prompted authorities to explore possible links between these incidents.

Satyendra Rathore provided police with a harrowing account of the threats. He explained that both he and his father received multiple menacing communications from unidentified individuals via WhatsApp calls and voice notes. The caller brazenly sent a video showing gunfire and threatened to attack the family with firearms and explosives unless the ransom was paid.
On March 17, Dilip Rathore received a voice call in which the caller threatened to kill the entire family and claimed responsibility for the firing at their residence, which allegedly occurred on Monday night. The caller further asserted that the incident was recorded and proceeded to send the video to both father and son through WhatsApp. Accompanying voice notes reportedly contained explicit threats of killing the family and blowing up the house with bombs if the ransom demands were not met.
Satyendra added that on March 18, both he and his father continued to receive calls from international numbers, which they deliberately chose not to answer. The family had traveled to Indore on March 16 and, upon receiving the video, promptly reviewed their CCTV footage. According to Satyendra, the footage clearly showed three masked men arriving on a motorcycle and opening fire at their house. He claimed that the video sent by the accused perfectly matched their CCTV recordings. A house worker named Shankar also corroborated the incident, providing additional testimony to the police.

The matter escalated significantly after a viral social media post emerged, in which Hari Boxer and Aarzoo Bishnoi allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing. The post accused Dilip Rathore of exploiting farmers and using fake IDs to defraud them. When contacted for comment, Dilip Rathore told reporters that he was currently away and could not elaborate extensively on the situation. He expressed deep concern, noting that his family members are terrified and have urgently requested him to return home as soon as possible.
