A team from the Ramakrishna Nagar police station, along with Sadar sub-divisional police officer Ranjan Kumar, rushed to the spot. They recorded the statement of the injured shopkeeper and began examining CCTV footage from the shop and surrounding areas to gather crucial evidence.

Formation of Special Investigation Team

In a bid to crack the case at the earliest, SP Parichay Kumar announced the formation of a special investigation team. Police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the shop and nearby installations, while technical surveillance measures are being deployed. This includes analysis of possible vehicle number plates and movement patterns to identify the culprits.

Additionally, raids are being conducted at suspected hideouts, and checkpoints have been set up on major roads leading out of the city to intercept the fleeing criminals. The SP confirmed that the robbery involved approximately 100 grams of gold jewellery and 3 to 4 kilograms of silver items.

Shopkeeper's Account and Ongoing Efforts

The shopkeeper, despite his injuries, raised an alarm immediately and informed the police, claiming that jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh was looted. Authorities have assured that the case is under active investigation, with further details expected to be shared within 24 hours.
