Nuh Police Seize 900kg Illegal Explosives, Three Flee

Police in Nuh district made a significant seizure of illegal explosive material on Friday. Officers confiscated approximately 900 kilograms of substances used for manufacturing firecrackers. The operation took place at a tin shed located in Bisru village.

Three Brothers Escape During Police Action

Authorities registered a case against three brothers under the Explosives Act. These individuals managed to flee the scene during the police raid. The brothers have been identified as sons of Dinu and are residents of Bisru village themselves.

Tip-Off Leads to Discovery

The Bichhor police station took action based on specific information received during routine patrol duties. Officers were conducting crime control activities near the Punhana-Fardari Road bus stand in Bisru when they received the tip-off.

An officer involved in the operation provided details about the illegal activity. "The brothers were manufacturing gunpowder and firecrackers without any proper licence," the officer stated. "They had stored all their raw materials inside the shed located within the BPL colony."

Massive Quantity of Explosive Material

Police personnel reached the identified location and conducted a thorough search. Their investigation led to the recovery of eighteen plastic sacks filled with explosive material. Each individual sack weighed approximately fifty kilograms, bringing the total seizure to around nine hundred kilograms.

Officers expressed serious concern about the storage location. The explosive substances were kept in a residential area, specifically within a densely populated colony. Police emphasized the potential danger this posed to local residents.

"Storing such a large quantity of explosive materials in a residential neighborhood created significant risk," explained the officer. "Any accidental fire or other incident could have resulted in a major tragedy given the population density of the colony."

Area Secured After Seizure

Following the successful seizure operation, police took immediate steps to secure the area. Authorities ensured that no remaining hazardous materials posed any threat to residents. The investigation continues as police work to locate and apprehend the three brothers who escaped during the raid.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about illegal firecracker manufacturing operations in residential areas. Police have reiterated their commitment to acting on credible information to prevent potential disasters before they occur.
