The National Security Guard and Rajasthan Police officially launched a comprehensive security enhancement training program on Tuesday. This joint initiative aims to strengthen coordination and operational readiness against potential terror threats across the state.
High-Level Inauguration at Rajasthan Police Academy
Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma and NSG Director General Bhrigu Shrinivasan formally inaugurated the program at the Rajasthan Police Academy in Jaipur. Senior officials from both the state police and the elite NSG attended the opening ceremony.
"This training program focuses on improving individual skills of police personnel while enhancing coordination during joint counter-terror operations," stated DGP Sharma. He confirmed the exercise would run for one month across two major cities.
Program Structure and Locations
The month-long training will take place simultaneously in Jaipur and Jodhpur. Officials designed the program specifically to improve coordination between the NSG, India's primary counter-terror force, and Rajasthan Police, who serve as first responders during security incidents.
As part of the inauguration events, NSG commandos conducted a live demonstration simulating a terrorist takeover at a medical college. This exercise effectively showcased various counter-terror operations, including terrorist neutralization and hostage rescue procedures.

The training covers a wide range of operational techniques essential for modern security challenges. Participants will receive instruction in multiple critical areas:

NSG Inspector General (Operations) Major General Sandeep Singh highlighted the critical importance of effective coordination between central and state forces. "These exercises will significantly improve coordination between NSG and state police," he explained. "This coordination proves essential since police personnel typically respond first before specialized forces take over operations."

Rajasthan Police officials stated the program aims to build operational synergy and improve preparedness at the state level. One official noted, "The training module will help police personnel respond more effectively to terror-related situations until central forces assume control."
