Noida Woman and Lover Arrested for Alleged Murder of Husband

In a shocking crime that has gripped Greater Noida, a 29-year-old woman and her alleged lover were arrested on Tuesday for the brutal murder of her husband. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Vijay, was found dead in his residence in Deola village, Surajpur, with police recovering a scarf believed to be the murder weapon.

Discovery of the Crime

On Monday evening, police received a tip-off about a suspicious death at a room in Deola village. The accused woman, Rakhi, initially told her neighbor that her husband had died suddenly from severe stomach aches. However, when officers arrived at the scene and examined the body, they noticed clear marks on the neck indicating foul play.

An immediate autopsy was conducted, which conclusively determined that Vijay had died from strangulation. Based on these findings, authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) under BNS Section 103 (1), which pertains to murder charges.

Investigation Unravels Affair and Motive

During the subsequent investigation, police uncovered that Rakhi had been involved in a romantic relationship with a man named Gurdeep, aged 31, for approximately four years. According to her statement to authorities, Rakhi had left her husband about a year ago to live with Gurdeep, but Vijay remained an obstacle to their relationship.

Around fifteen days prior to the murder, Rakhi allegedly invited Gurdeep to stay with her at the Deola residence she shared with her husband. On the fateful Monday, the two conspirators reportedly used a scarf to strangle Vijay to death in what appears to have been a premeditated act.

Arrest and Aftermath

Following the murder, Gurdeep fled the crime scene while Rakhi maintained the false narrative of her husband's death from natural causes. However, police quickly pieced together the evidence and arrested both suspects. The scarf used in the strangulation was recovered from their possession, providing crucial physical evidence.

The tragic case has left three children under the age of 13 orphaned by the violence. All three minors currently reside with their grandparents in Belon village, where they are receiving care and support following this devastating family tragedy.

This incident highlights the complex dynamics of domestic relationships that can sometimes escalate to extreme violence. The Surajpur police have demonstrated thorough investigative work in quickly identifying the suspects and building a strong case against them based on forensic evidence and witness statements.
