In a major breakthrough, the Noida police on Sunday arrested two history-sheeters who were involved in multiple robbery cases in the city. The accused were identified as Ravi Kumar and Sunil Sharma, both residents of Noida. The police recovered Rs 20,000 cash and several stolen items from their possession.
Details of the Arrest
According to the police, the arrests were made based on a tip-off. The accused were apprehended near Sector 62 in Noida. During interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in at least four robberies in the past month. The stolen items recovered include mobile phones, laptops, and jewelry.
Modus Operandi
The duo used to target isolated areas late at night. They would threaten victims with knives and then flee with cash and valuables. Police said they have a criminal history and were previously arrested for similar offenses.
Police Statement
"We have solved multiple robbery cases with this arrest. The accused are history-sheeters and were wanted in several cases," said a senior police officer. The police have launched a search for other members of their gang.
