The complainant, a laborer originally from Gopalganj in Bihar, lives with his wife and two daughters in a rented room in Noida's Sector 113. His wife works as a domestic help. On Saturday, the couple went to work, leaving their daughter playing in the street around 2:30 PM.
The accused, who was alone in his room at the time, noticed the girl and lured her inside under the pretext of feeding her something. A short while later, the girl emerged crying. Another neighbor, seeing her distress, enquired about her well-being, prompting the girl to run back into her house, calling out for her mother.
Family's Response and Police Action
The other neighbor immediately called the girl's father. Upon learning of the situation, the parents rushed to the scene. When the mother asked the girl while caressing her, she recounted the neighbor's inappropriate touching.
On Saturday evening, the family took the girl to the police station and lodged a formal complaint. The girl's father stated that they had moved into the area only five months ago, while the accused had been living there longer. From other neighbors, the family learned that the accused had been seen hanging around the girl for several days, often talking to her under the guise of buying her something.
