Security Guard Assaulted in Noida Society Over Entry Lane Dispute

A security guard was allegedly assaulted by a delivery executive and two of his associates at the Kosmos-A apartments in Wish Town, Sector 134, Noida, late on Tuesday night. The incident occurred after the guard stopped the rider from entering the condominium through a lane reserved exclusively for residents.

Details of the Late-Night Attack

In a complaint filed with the Expressway police station, the Kosmos Apartment Owners Association (AOA) stated that the incident took place around 11 PM near Gate No. 6. The guard, Yogesh, was on duty alone at the time. According to the AOA, one of the entry lanes is specifically earmarked for residents' vehicles only. When Yogesh asked the accused, Gajendra, a delivery executive with a food delivery company, to use the designated lane in accordance with society rules, a scuffle erupted.

Police reports indicate that Gajendra allegedly threatened Yogesh before riding away. However, he returned minutes later with two associates. The trio then allegedly attacked Yogesh, punching him and striking him on the head. They fled the scene as Yogesh collapsed to the ground.

Aftermath and Police Action

Yogesh recounted lying injured near the gate for several minutes before residents noticed him and rushed him to a hospital for medical treatment. On Wednesday, police arrested Gajendra under sections 118(1) and 351(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Section 118(1) pertains to voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons, while section 351(1) deals with criminal intimidation. Authorities have stated that efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend Gajendra's two associates.

Concerns Over Resident Safety

The AOA expressed deep concern over the incident, highlighting that such assaults pose a serious threat to the safety and security of residents. They have urged the police to ensure strict action against all individuals involved to prevent similar occurrences in the future. This case underscores ongoing challenges in maintaining order and enforcing rules within residential communities.
