The victim, identified as Priya (name changed), was found lying on the ground outside the apartment complex in Dwarka Sector 10 around 6:30 am. She had sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Police said the woman had been married for just six months.
According to the victim's father, she had been facing constant demands for additional dowry from her husband, Rajesh, and his parents. "They wanted a car and more cash. When we couldn't meet their demands, they started torturing her," he alleged. The father claimed his daughter was pushed from the balcony during a heated argument.

Based on the complaint, Delhi Police registered a case under sections 304B (dowry death), 498A (cruelty by husband or relatives), and 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code, along with relevant provisions of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
