A domestic conflict in the Cantt police station jurisdiction of Neemuch took a violent turn when a woman was allegedly assaulted with a sharp weapon by her husband's first wife and her relatives, resulting in serious injuries. The victim, identified as Nasreen, who is married to Imran Qureshi, was rushed to the district hospital after sustaining deep wounds on her neck and hand, where she remains under medical care.
Severe Injuries Require Extensive Medical Treatment
Medical professionals reported that Nasreen required approximately 10 stitches on her hand, with the injuries to her neck also being significant. The attack left her in a critical condition, highlighting the severity of the assault. Doctors emphasized the need for ongoing treatment and monitoring due to the nature of the wounds inflicted during the violent incident.
Background of the Strained Relationship
According to the victim, the marriage occurred a year ago with the consent of the first wife, Zubaida. However, the relationship has been strained for the past six months, during which Nasreen claims she endured continuous harassment. She alleged that Zubaida was pressuring Imran to divorce her, leading to frequent disputes within the household and escalating tensions over time.
Escalation and Alleged Ambush
The situation worsened when Zubaida's relatives reportedly arrived from Bundi in Rajasthan. Nasreen stated that she was called for a discussion under the pretext of resolving the issue, but was instead ambushed and attacked. Among those named by her in the complaint are Zubaida, her sister-in-law Guddo, and others identified as Hina, Sajju, and Chhotu, indicating a coordinated assault by multiple individuals.
