Navi Mumbai Police Conduct Major Drug Bust in Uran, Seize Heroin Worth Rs 2.52 Lakh
In a significant crackdown on narcotics, the Uran police in Navi Mumbai have seized heroin valued at Rs 2.52 lakh and arrested three individuals during a targeted raid at Jasai. The operation was launched following specific intelligence that youths were consuming drugs behind the Sheetal Parivahan parking lot, highlighting ongoing concerns about drug abuse in the area.

The raid was executed as part of a special campaign against drug dealers and users, initiated in response to numerous complaints from local residents about illicit activities. Senior police inspector Hanif Mulani confirmed that the three arrested persons have been identified as:
- Ravindra Kalyan Shetty, aged 27
- Ganesh Dattu Bhide, aged 25
- Ganesh Vinay Patil, aged 19
During the search, authorities recovered 85 packets of heroin from Ganesh Vinay Patil, with a total weight of 6.32 grammes. The international market value of the seized narcotics was estimated at Rs 2,52,800, underscoring the scale of the operation. A formal case has been registered against all three individuals, and they have been taken into custody.

When the arrested trio was produced before the court, they were remanded to police custody for three days to facilitate further investigation.
