Nashik Murder-Suicide: Man Shoots Married Lover, Then Himself in Jalgaon
A tragic incident of murder followed by suicide has shocked the Chopda taluka in Jalgaon district, with police revealing disturbing details about a relationship that turned deadly. A 35-year-old man from Shirpur in Dhule district allegedly shot his 30-year-old married lover before turning the same country-made firearm on himself on Saturday morning.
Gruesome Discovery by Schoolgirl
The horrifying scene was discovered around 10:30 AM when the deceased woman's daughter, a Class VIII student, returned home from school. She found both bodies lying in a pool of blood, immediately alerting neighbors who then contacted authorities.
On the complaint filed by the deceased woman's husband, the Chopda city police have registered a case of murder under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the deceased man.
Two-Year Relationship That Turned Fatal
Inspector Madhukar Salve, who is leading the investigation, provided crucial insights into the background of this tragedy. "During our investigation, we found out that the two of them were in a relationship for nearly two years," Salve revealed. "They initially got acquainted with each other on a social media website."
The police investigation has uncovered that the relationship had been strained recently. "Owing to the woman's family responsibilities, she had not been able to give enough time to the accused man," Inspector Salve explained. This tension is clearly documented in the online chats between the two individuals that police have recovered as evidence.
Fateful Morning Encounter
Police have reconstructed the sequence of events leading to the double death. On Saturday morning, sometime before 10:30 AM, the man arrived at the woman's residence on a motorcycle. At that time, the woman was alone at home while her husband was away working on their agricultural land, and her two children were at school.
"A quarrel may have broken out between the two," Inspector Salve stated, based on preliminary findings. During this heated argument, the man allegedly shot the woman dead with a country-made firearm and then ended his own life with the same weapon.

The Chopda police are conducting a thorough investigation from all angles. Inspector Salve emphasized that they are examining every aspect of the case, including the recovered firearm, digital evidence from social media platforms, and statements from family members and neighbors.
