Nashik Axe Attack: Two Accused Booked for Brutal Assault Over Loan Dispute
In a shocking incident in Nashik, a 38-year-old man was brutally assaulted with an axe-like weapon on Monday evening, leading to the registration of a case against two individuals. The Nashik Taluka police have launched a manhunt for the suspects involved in this violent attack.
Details of the Assault
The victim, identified as Surajkumar Mohanlal Solanki, was attacked around 5 PM in the Viholi area by a man and a woman. Police officials reported that the assault was captured on video, which later circulated on social media, causing widespread outrage among viewers.
PI Mrudula Naik of the Nashik Taluka police station stated, "We have identified the suspects, and it is only a matter of time before they are arrested. Our teams have been dispatched in multiple directions to locate them."
Background of the Conflict
According to police investigations, the attack stemmed from a financial dispute. Solanki had lent money to the accused some time ago, and tensions had been escalating over the past few days due to constant quarrels regarding the repayment. These altercations culminated in the violent assault on Solanki on Tuesday evening.
Police Response and Medical Condition
A police team stationed in Viholi was alerted about the assault involving a sharp weapon. Officers rushed to the scene and immediately transported Solanki to Nashik Civil Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The police have registered a case of attempt to murder against the two accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). While Solanki remains in critical condition, his health has shown improvement compared to Monday when he was first admitted to the hospital.
