RTO City Head Kiran Bidkar outlined the department's plans. A series of awareness programs and events are scheduled throughout the month. These activities operate under the theme 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha'.
"We are actively informing school bus and van drivers about essential safety norms," Bidkar stated. "Multiple events are being organized at various locations."
The planned outreach includes:

- Awareness drives at bus stops and auto stands.
- Installation of road safety banners across the city.
- A blood donation camp planned for January 21st.

Bidkar highlighted the positive impact of sustained awareness efforts. Nagpur's performance in road safety has shown marked improvement. "Nagpur stood first in the state for saving lives due to extensive awareness programmes last year," Bidkar noted, crediting the consistent campaigns.

Alongside awareness, the RTO has launched a strict crackdown. Officials are targeting autorickshaws found illegally transporting school students. The department has issued a clear warning. Strict enforcement actions will continue against all such violators. This measure aims to ensure the safety of school children and all other commuters on Nagpur's roads.
