In a swift and decisive operation, the Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station in Nagpur successfully cracked a case of armed dacoity at a private bar and restaurant, leading to the arrest of all ten individuals involved in the violent crime. The incident, which sent shockwaves through the locality, occurred on Thursday at an establishment located in Mangalmurti Square.
Violent Attack and Loot at City Bar
The complaint was filed by Yash Rai, aged 25, and his 59-year-old father Atul Rai, who are the owners of the targeted bar. According to the police report, a group of eight to ten young men, armed with dangerous weapons including knives, a small sword, bottles, and glasses, launched a brazen attack on the premises. The assailants assaulted the father-son duo, causing them injuries.
In the ensuing chaos, the gang looted Rs 26,000 in cash from the counter and made off with a mobile phone valued at approximately Rs 30,000. They also caused significant damage to the bar's property, estimated to be worth around Rs 15,000. The total loss from the daring dacoity amounted to roughly Rs 56,000.
Phased Police Operation Nets All Accused
Demonstrating commendable investigative efficiency, the Rana Pratap Nagar police team launched a meticulous manhunt. The arrests were made in phases over a five-day period, spanning from December 12 to December 16. The police managed to apprehend every single suspect linked to the crime.
The key accused has been identified as Aniket Shendre (23). The other individuals arrested in connection with the case are:

Legal Action and Senior Supervision
A formal case has been registered under the relevant stringent sections of the newly enacted Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. The charges include dacoity, causing grievous hurt, and violations of the Arms Act. The successful crackdown was carried out under the direct guidance and supervision of senior police officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishikesh Reddy and Senior Police Inspector Pankaj Bondse.
