Constable Attacked After Confronting Reckless Bikers
A traffic constable in Nagpur was brutally assaulted by a group of rowdy bikers on Saturday after he stopped them for reckless riding. The incident occurred near the Gaddi Godam area, and the entire attack was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the junction. The footage shows the constable, identified as Mahesh Panchbhai, being surrounded and beaten by at least six to seven men on motorcycles.

According to police reports, the constable was on duty when he noticed a group of bikers performing stunts and riding dangerously. He signaled them to stop, but instead of complying, the bikers allegedly abused him and began hitting him with helmets and fists. The CCTV footage shows Panchbhai trying to defend himself as the attackers repeatedly strike him. Several passersby watched but did not intervene. The attackers fled the scene after the assault.

Senior police officials have taken cognizance of the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Archit Chandak said, "We have registered a case against unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The CCTV footage is being analyzed to identify the accused. A special team has been formed to arrest them at the earliest." The constable sustained injuries and has been admitted to a local hospital. His condition is reported to be stable.
