In a shocking incident, the bodies of two young men were discovered under mysterious conditions in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district on Monday night. Both victims sustained severe skull injuries, according to local police authorities.
Grim Discovery on Rural Roadside
The grim scene was uncovered around 9 pm along the roadside connecting Panautha and Janakpur villages within the Ishanagar area. The deceased were identified as 19-year-old Surendra Yadav and 18-year-old Santosh Kori, both hailing from Gaharwar village. Their bodies were found approximately 20 paces apart from each other.
Evidence Points to Violent Confrontation
Police arriving at the location made several crucial discoveries. A country-made pistol and a mobile phone were recovered from the spot. A motorcycle was also found lying nearby, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
Based on preliminary observations of the bodies, investigators suspect that one youth may have been shot. The other victim appears to have suffered a fatal head wound, possibly inflicted by a heavy blunt object.
Forensic Teams Begin Detailed Probe
A specialized forensic team conducted a thorough examination of the crime scene to gather evidence. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, which is expected to determine the precise cause of death for both individuals.
Superintendent of Police Agam Jain confirmed that forensic investigations are actively underway to uncover the actual sequence of events leading to the deaths. "All possible angles are being thoroughly probed," stated Jain. "Further legal action will be initiated based on the findings from the post-mortem and forensic reports."
